Accommodation

We provide accommodation for our Snowsport Leadership Training programs and Basic Training courses at the Riding Fool Hostel in the Village of Cumberland. It has a great social atmosphere, a large kitchen and a spacious common area with a wood stove and plenty of character. There is a quaint café in the same building and a local watering hole (often with great live bands) just across the street.

Sleeping arrangements consist of comfortable dormitory rooms. It is possible to upgrade to a private room or you may opt to find your own accommodation. Please contact us for information on these options.

Transportation

Throughout our programs, Section 8 will provide transportation to all training venues and for all course scheduled activities.

We do our best to organize plenty of low cost adventures for days off and provide transportation free of charge for most of our extra curricular activities, however, some of the activities will have additional costs.

Food

After a long days training it's difficult to get up the motivation to cook yourself a proper meal. For this reason Section 8 provides half board consisting of evening meals five days per week. Meals will be nutritious, delicious and we are happy to accommodate most special dietary needs.

Participants are responsible for catering all other meals. You will have full access to the kitchen at the Riding Fool Hostel, as well there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to explore in the Comox Valley.
