Location
Vancouver Island, on the West coast of Canada is a unique destination filled with majestic mountains rising more than 2000m out of the Pacific Ocean and covered with lush temperate rain forests which are home to some of the biggest trees on the planet.
Here in this beautiful environment you will laugh, cry,
sweat, scare yourself and everything in between as you take
on new challenges offered by the mountains.
Section 8 is
based out of the Comox
Valley, a 25 minute drive from great skiing and snowboarding at Mount
Washington Resort. You won't find any five star luxury hotels or fur coat clad tourists here...
Instead there are untracked runs, lineless lifts, friendly
locals and huge annual snowfalls... This is the true "Canuck" experience!
Mount
Washington attracts regular storms rolling in off the Pacific
Ocean and has a reputation for ridiculous snow depths. It
is frequently home to the deepest snow-pack in North America.
The Comox Valley
is known as Alpine to Ocean country. This is one of the
few places you can ski or ride in the mountains all day and then
watch the sunset from the beach! |
