Our courses offer a whole lot more than possible job opportunities as a ski or snowboard instructor. They are designed to take your existing ski or snowboarding skills to the next level. They develop leadership skills and improve your self confidence. You will be able to face future challenges with the knowledge that you can over come any obstacle.

Adventure
Feeling the need to escape the city and have an adventure? We’ll put some hair on your chest and make sure you go home with a story or two to tell your grand kids!
The rugged mountains, remote wilderness and record snow falls of Vancouver Island, off Canada’s west coast, offer the ultimate in outdoor adventure. Under the instruction of our highly skilled instructors you will find yourself taking on challenges that you wouldn’t have thought possible before you came to us.
If the skiing, snowboarding and backcountry survival courses were the only things Section 8 had to offer – it would still be a once in a lifetime adventure. But, there is more — much more. How about surfing? I don’t think you’ll find any other instructor course where you can go skiing and surfing on the same day.
Travel
For many people, Canadians included, Canada stops at the British Columbia west coast. However, just and hour and half by ferry or a few minutes by air is Vancouver Island.
Vancouver Island is the largest of the islands off the west coast. It sits right in the path of the moist Pacific winds, which in the winter means SNOW. Largely confined to the mountains that make up the center of Vancouver Island, snow packs of over 16 meters are not uncommon.
The main ski hill is located at Mount Washington. Mount Washington is accessible via Comox airport and commuter flights from western Canada’s three major international airports. It is also on the main highway running the length of Vancouver Island.
You don’t want to pass up an opportunity to explore the unique beauty and culture of this place.
