A perfect gap year or career break, our signature 12 week “SLT” program is simply the most comprehensive ski and snowboard course on the planet.
While many ski instructor courses or snowboard instructor courses teach you how to look pretty on a groomed slope… We teach you the fastest line down a race course, how to tear up the terrain park, how to charge the off-piste steeps, how to safely explore the backcountry and everything in between. CSIA/CASI level 3 Training – Step It Up…
Already have level 2? Take on your next challenge and check out our new CSIA/CASI Level 3 training courses. This tough course is going to require a some sweat blood and tears… but we’ll be sure to throw in a little fun along the way!
All Mountain Maniac – Just the Fun Stuff…
Want to make your friends jealous by becoming a rad skier or snowboarder? Our 11 week All Mountain Maniac course may be just what the doctor ordered. With coaching from top professionals normally reserved for training instructors you will improve your skiing or riding in all terrain and conditions over the course of a season. This course still includes CSIA or CASI level 1 instructor certification, however, once that’s done there is nothing but fun! Of course if you want to customize things and add an extra certification or two… you can always choose from our a la carte menu.
Basic Training – Getting Your Feet Wet…
Our 4 and 6 week “Basic Training” options offer an introductory ski instructor course or snowboard instructor course as well some backcountry travel skills. These programs includes top quality training and 2 entry level qualifications. If you are interested in teaching beginners or children to ski or board this is the ideal course to get your foot in the door, then gain experience working as an instructor for the rest of the season.
Camps & Clinics – Technical Enlightenment and Tactical Prowess…
In addition to our instructor courses here in Canada, Section 8′s traveling ski school provides a variety of shorter Free-Ride camps, Performance Clinics, and mountain adventures… or if you have a group and need us to design a custom course we can arrange just about anything on snow whether here on Vancouver Island or abroad in virtually any corner of the globe.
